Julia Hamper

Julia has worked in Oxfordshire for over twenty-five years. She has worked predominately in primary schools leading in literacy and the arts.

She has been a substantive and interim headteacher in primary schools across the county. Julia loves teaching and developing a love of literacy and learning in schools through book weeks, poetry slams, storytelling, and drama. She enjoys sharing her own enthusiasm for reading and writing with children. Most recently she has worked as an English tutor for primary and GCSE students.

Julia’s teaching experience spans the whole primary and secondary school age. Believing that all children have great potential and knowing how difficult it can be to ‘catch up’, she is delighted to be working for Quest for Learning to help close the disadvantage gap in literacy.
