Karen is an experienced primary practitioner whose specialist subject is English. She has worked with children from a wide range of ethnic and social backgrounds.
She gained her teaching qualification from the University of Warwick. She has worked predominantly in Oxfordshire schools as a KS2 classroom teacher, English Coordinator and Curriculum Leader. Recently she has been supporting EAL primary aged children in small groups and one to one.
She has always been passionate about helping and inspiring those children who, for whatever reason, are experiencing barriers to learning. She enjoys working collaboratively with teachers, families and carers to play her part in helping children achieve their potential. She always tailors her lessons to meet the needs of the individual and strives to make her lessons engaging and fun.
